How can we convince the Danish to reverse the x-direction (if only as an option)?
It's amazing that it's now 2009 and this game came out in 2005 and nobody complained or nobody of the company took the complaint seriously enough. I think it also should have been mentioned in the PC-Games article.
BTW. Any games producing companies reading this: I'll gladly test your games (in whatever beta-state) for ergonomical and other errors for a big but fair rate.
I have played the first four islands with German audio and the next four with Dutch audio. In both versions the audio is boring after a while. I think that the graphics are very good for a subprime game and most of all, the quality of the game is very consistent.
I'd give it a score of about 70% I think but I might give it 75% when the following problems were solved:
I had a lot of problems getting the game to start correctly and it's still not working smoothly. There is a patch on the site but it's hard to find. It's not in the download section but in the Q&A (questions and answers) database.
What also bugs me is that the X-direction of the mouse is the wrong way around (compared to other ego or 3rd person shooters) and you can't change this in the settings.
I haven't tried multi-user yet and I am hoping for a map-editor, but I think that the boat idea is implemented very nicely. I hope there will be an (even better) sequel.
