Fallout: New Vegas - So wertet die Welt - Die internationalen Wertungen im Überblick
Fallout: New Vegas ist ab Freitag erhältlich. Das Spiel erscheint für PC, Xbox 360 und Playstation 3.
Eurogamer - 9/10
Fallout: New Vegas is still a fantastic game, only slightly held back by its increasingly outdated tech. Obsidian has created a totally compelling world and its frustrations pale into insignificance compared to the immersive, obsessive experience on offer. Just like the scorched scenery that provides its epic backdrop, New Vegas is huge and sprawling, sometimes gaudy, even downright ugly at times - but always effortlessly, shamelessly entertaining.
Joystiq - 3,5 / 5
Paradoxically, New Vegas doesn't make good on much new on any front, and it takes a hit both as experience and product for it. As fond as I am of the idea of an alternate reality Fallout 3, we shouldn't forget that game was released in late 2008, and Obsidian's contribution to the franchise looks and feels every day of two years old, maybe more. But it's still a giant, cool, twisted, funny world to explore, chock full of a staggering number of adventures. Is that really the sort of experience you can afford to pass up, no matter what year it is?
Giant Bomb - 4 / 5
Fallout: New Vegas somehow manages to have even more technical problems than Fallout 3 did, but its great characters and setting still shine through.
GamePro - 4,5 / 5
The sheer amount of things to see and experience is overwhelming. It closely matches Fallout 3 in terms of depth and content; if you loved the original, you'll probably love this one as well. Small issues abound, and things that could have been addressed weren't; quests aren't as inventive or as complex as they could be; game can be a bit easy on the Casual setting.

All in all, Fallout: New Vegas is a triumph for Obsidian. Once again, they've taken on a beloved franchise and managed to do it justice in the sequel. From a purely technical standpoint, New Vegas does have some issues, but a game isn't all about the technical side of things. It's about the experience of playing the game, and on that front, New Vegas delivers in spades. It's easily one of my favorite games of the year to date, despite all of the technical glitches. If you liked Fallout 3, you owe it to yourself to play this one all the way through. It's a most worthy successor.

I think the best way to describe Fallout: New Vegas is to say it's Fallout 3 with a bit of Alpha Protocol, which makes sense. But even with that extra little bit, New Vegas is most definitely a Fallout game. More specifically, it's a Fallout 3 game. So regardless of what I or anyone else says, you should already know if you'd enjoy it. If you don't, then you haven't played Fallout 3, in which case, shame on you. I enjoyed Fallout 3 and I certainly enjoyed New Vegas.
Game Informer - 8.5
Maybe Obsidian's lack of familiarity with Bethesda's technology resulted in New Vegas' plateau. Maybe Bethesda barked orders to make it identical to Fallout 3. In any case, gamers should expect more of the same from this follow-up. If Fallout 3 holds a place among your top 10 games of this generation like it does for me, another rewarding 200-plus hours of survival awaits you.
Planet Xbox 360 - 8.8
I actually had a really good time playing through Fallout: New Vegas. During my time I couldn't set the controller down. It's fun and that is ultimately what a game should be about and New Vegas hits it on the head. It's eloquently and elaborately woven mission structure is something that should never be changed, and in fact I would like to see it in other games as well. The Mojave wasteland is packed with memorable locations and characters and is a worthy followup to Fallout 3. I just expected more from New Vegas but in the end it all feels like a giant expansion upon the premise laid out two years ago. Again, not a bad thing if that's what you're looking for, more of the same isn't bad with this formula.
IGN UK - 9.0
Fallout: New Vegas is the game that many wanted Fallout 3 to be. It's harder, more ruthless, better written and more morally ambiguous. It's a game we've been wanting to play for more than a decade, a real modern re-imagining of the Fallout series, complete with that deliciously black humour. But it's also more of the same, aesthetically and technically identical to Fallout 3, wonky facial animation and all. The ever-so-slightly ageing technology only marginally detracts from what is otherwise an expansive, fulfilling and ambitious game, unmatched in scope and maturity. If Obsidian were to make another Fallout game, we certainly wouldn't say no.
G4TV - 4 / 5
At the end of the day, however, this is a Fallout game, offering players a huge, populated universe to explore and dozens of hours worth of questing and leveling that'll speak to any RPG gamer. While the story may not be as gripping, and the technical execution may not be as polished, it's well worth the purchase for any fan of the franchise, whether you've played Fallout 3 or not. While Bethesda is off developing the next Elder Scrolls title...or Fallout 4...or whatever it is they're presently creating, the Obsidian-developed Fallout: New Vegas is a worthwhile, if flawed, appetizer for the anxious masses.
Gaming Nexus - B / A+
The gameplay and style's going to be familiar for those that play Fallout 3, which can be a good and bad thing. Those looking for a huge improvement over Fallout 3 will be disappointed, but fans of the series will enjoy going back into the world again with a huge amount of space to explore. Combat outside of VATS still isn't fun for me, but the gameplay and user interface improvements are nicely done. Bugs, bugs, and more bugs can bring the game to a halt.

There's lots to like in Fallout: New Vegas. There's a boatload of new content, with players looking at a minimum of 15 hours of gameplay, even if they just try to burn through the base story content. In doing so, they'd be missing out on some great content, though. I'm not a completionist by any means, but Fallout: New Vegas' sidequests and stories are absolutely worth playing through. There's no doubt that I was frustrated by the game's numerous bugs - especially when it barred my progress in the game - but, honestly, that seems to be par for the course for Obsidian. And for my part, I would choose to play a game that is an unpolished gem rather than a polished turd any day of the week. There's not a part of Fallout: New Vegas that could be called a turd, and if you're a fan at all of western-styled RPGs, there is no doubt that this game is worth picking up.

More wasteland to wander. New Vegas is good, but the failure to move the series on makes it feel a tiny bit stale.
