Batman: Arkham City im Test: Die große Wertungsübersicht - Das bisher beste Action-Adventure des Jahres

Rocksteady scheint sich mit Batman: Arkham City selbst übertroffen zu haben. Die Wertungen für das Action-Adventure sind traumhaft. Am 21. Oktober 2011 geht Batman: Arkham City für Xbox 360 und Playstation 3 an den Start. PC-Spieler müssen sich noch bis zum 11. November gedulden. Doch lohnt sich die Wartezeit? Die ersten Anzeichen lassen ein mehr als deutliches "Ja" vermuten, denn bereits jetzt gibt es die ersten Wertungen internationaler Magazine. PC Games fasst sie für euch zusammen. Der GameInformer gibt zehn von zehn möglichen Punkten und sagt beispielsweise, dass Batman: Arkham City die bislang beste Umsetzung einer Lizenz sei.

Das OPM Australia wertet ebenfalls mit zehn von zehn möglichen Punkten. Batman: Arkham City sei demnach eines der besten Spiele aller Zeiten. Das englische Magazin GameMasterUK vergibt 9.7 von zehn möglichen Punkten und sagt: "Brutal und brilliant." Batman: Arkham City sei der neue Standard, an dem sich zukünftige Spieleproduktionen messen müssen. Auch unser Schwestermagazin Play3 hat bereits eine Wertung vergeben und wertet mit 92 von 100 möglichen Punkten und meint: "Stilsicher und schlau: ein atemberaubend gutes Action-Adventure".

Batman: Arkham City bescherte uns so manch schlaflose Nacht! Wie geht die Story weiter? Was bietet die nächste Nebenmission? Wie löse ich das letzte Riddler-Rätsel? All diese Dinge werden euch so lange durch den Kopf geistern, bis ihr Batmans PS3-Sternstunde durchgezockt habt. Unfassbar gute Originalsprecher, herrliche Bosskämpfe, clevere Secrets: Man spürt förmlich, wie viel Mühe und (so romantisch es auch klingt) Liebe Rocksteady in sein Werk gesteckt hat. Angesichts der famosen Gesamtqualität kann, nein muss man Detailschwächen wie die gelegentlichen Nachladeruckler oder die etwas überkomplizierte Steuerung einfach verzeihen.

Batman: Arkham City zählt für mich neben Red Dead Redemption zu den großartigsten Titeln, die ich in dieser Konsolengeneration erleben durfte. Die Inszenierung, das Drumherum, die Steuerung -- bei diesem Spiel stimmt einfach alles!

Mit Arkham City bekommt Batman einfach noch mehr Schwung, eine noch interessantere Geschichte durch die Auftritte so vieler bekannter Gesichter und vor allem einen unglaublich schönen Hintergrund mit der offenen Welt von Gotham City.

Die Balance zwischen Action- und Schleichpassagen passt, die Geschichte ist clever und die Bosskämpfe auf einem ähnlichen Niveau wie im grandiosen Vorgänger. Rocksteady wollten ein Spiel erschaffen, das euch zeigt, wie es ist, in Batmans Haut zu stecken. Das haben sie geschafft.

It seems so sad to hold the title for so short-lived a time, but I'm afraid I have no choice but to wrest the crown from its bearer. Batman: Arkham Asylum is a game so good that I'm not fully convinced it wasn't programmed by alien wizards. Despite my best efforts to prove otherwise, it deserves every accolade it is so sure to receive, every perfect mark it is so sure to tally.
